Authority and Responsibilities

The office shall have the following authority and responsibilities:

1. To plan, survey, design, inspect, and conduct engineering analysis related to highway maintenance works, highway safety works, and small-scale construction projects of Highway Districts.
2. To plan and implement medium-scale construction projects and maintain the assigned highway network.
3. To carry out land acquisition and legal affairs.
4. To carry out operations related to vehicle weight control stations.
5. To plan, manage, and maintain machinery and vehicles.
6. To plan, supervise, and monitor the operations of Highway Districts to ensure compliance with policies, plans, and objectives.
7. To carry out activities related to permits under the Highway Act as assigned.
8. To provide consultation, guidance, and academic support to Highway Districts and other agencies.
9. To cooperate with or support the operations of other relevant agencies or as assigned.
